Future Star! Aston Villa Agree £10.4m Deal To Sign 16-year-old Sensation

Aston Villa have reportedly reach an agreement to sign 16-year-old Metz prodigy Brian Madjo in a deal worth a reported £10.4 million.

The highly-coveted forward has arrived in the West Midlands to undergo his medical after club chiefs orchestrated a surprise move behind the scenes, beating top European rivals to secure the teenager on a long-term five-year contract.

According to popular transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, the deal is fully agreed and Madjo is already in Birmingham, accompanied by his agents, to complete the necessary medical examinations before putting pen to paper.

With Madjo yet to make his mark on senior football, Villa’s decision to sign him for such fee highlights the club’s aggressive strategy to secure elite talent before their value skyrockets beyond reach.

Romano described the deal as a “surprise move” after negotiations were handled by Villa behind the scenes.

By moving early and decisively, Villa appear to have avoided a bidding war that could have easily driven the price even higher, given the reputation of the player within scouting circles.

FC Metz have a formidable reputation for producing world-class talent, which perhaps explains Villa’s willingness to invest so heavily.

The French club’s academy, particularly heavily linked with their satellite academy Generation Foot in Senegal, has been the launchpad for global stars such as Sadio Mané, Ismaila Sarr, Pape Matar Sarr, and Miralem Pjanic.
