Bundesliga giant willing to match Man Utd’s valuation of Marcus Rashford

Marcus Rashford has been offered the opportunity to play in Germany next season with Bayern Munich reportedly willing to match Manchester United’s valuation of the Englishman.

Rashford enjoyed a season-long loan deal at Barcelona last season after spending the previous six months on loan at Aston Villa. United are willing to get him off their paycheck but are yet to reach an agreement with interested parties.

Barcelona are willing to retain Rashford who impressed during his time at the club. With 14 goals and ten assists in 49 appearances in all competitions, the England international was an important figure in Hansi Flick’s team.

However, there have been doubts about whether the Catalan giants will trigger their €30m (£26m) buyout clause in the deal.

Barcelona are reportedly looking at renegotiating a deal with Man Utd to lower the price, while the La Liga side have also been rumoured to want a fresh loan.

The Catalonia giant’s decision to also sign Newcastle United winger Antony Gordon have also put Rashford’s future at the Spanish side in doubt.

New report from The Sun have now claimed Bayern Munich are ‘willing to match’ the Red Devils’ £34.5m valuation of the England international.

However, Rashford’s huge salary is proving to be the biggest stumbling block in finding him a new club.

It is understood that Bayern Munich are hesitating to pay those wages given that Rashford would not be a guaranteed starter at the Allianz Arena.

Luis Diaz who impressed in his debut season at the club is likely to start ahead of the Man Utd forward.

It’s still unknown if Rashford will lower his wages to make the move to Germany. But as it stands, the Manchester United forward is fully focus on helping England win the 2026 World Cup.
