‘I don’t think so’: Klopp reveals Liverpool’s title chances after loss to Everton
Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp has insisted that he’s not writing his team off in the race for Premier League title despite their 2-0 loss to Everton.
Jurgen Klopp’s team chances in the title race were dealt a heavy blow by a 2-0 loss to Everton at Goodison Park on Wednesday night.
The result means Liverpool trail league leaders Arsenal by three points and two points off Manchester City, but the reigning Premier League champions have a game in hand.
Jurgen Klopp, in an exclusive interview with TNT Sports, noted that he is yet to “write off” winning the Premier League title in his final season with Liverpool.
“Do I believe in this moment we will be champions? No, because that’s the table and the situation doesn’t give that,” Klopp told TNT Sports. “But is that a problem? I don’t think so.
“It’s not about the game after the next game, it’s about the next game. Let’s see what happens. I don’t know who the other teams are playing. Is it possible that Arsenal and City lose two games? Unlikely but possible.
“Is it possible Liverpool win four games? Yeah, we did that before, that’s possible as well. So I don’t write it off.”
Liverpool are left with four matches. The reds will be facing West Ham United on Saturday afternoon. Following that will be Tottenham Hotspur at home, Aston Villa away and Wolves at home.
