‎Rodrygo nears Real Madrid return from long-term injury

‎Real Madrid have received a positive news on their injury list as Rodrygo takes a major step forward in his recovery process from a long-term knee injury.

‎The Brazilian international, who has been sidelined for over six months, has officially returned to training with the ball. He was spotted at the club’s Valdebebas training complex on Monday morning.

‎Rodrygo suffered an ACL injury and also damaged his lateral meniscus in his right knee at the start of March, which led to the attacker needing an operation.

‎He is due to return to action either in December or at the start of 2027, and the latest update proves he has taken a major step forward in his recovery process.

‎The forward’s recovery has progressed as expected, and he was able to return to the training ground to take part in running exercises at the start of September.

‎Rodrygo celebrated that milestone with his followers on social media, stating: ‘What a great feeling to be back running on the field!’ That controlled jogging has now evolved into technical work with the ball after several weeks of intense physical preparation.

‎Despite the latest progress, Real Madrid will take no risk with his fitness.

‎Rodrygo is entering the final phase of a recovery process that the club expects to conclude between December and January.

‎Brazil head coach Carlo Ancelotti is monitoring his progress closely, having visited Valdebebas last month to check on the forward’s condition, fully aware that Rodrygo remains a vital part of his plans for the national team.

‎Rodrygo joined Real Madrid in 2019 from Brazilian outfit Santos and has since become an important figure in the squad.

‎The forward has made 297 appearances for Los Blancos in all competitions, scoring 71 goals.
