‎Zubimendi Reveals Stance on Arsenal Future Ahead of Winter Window

Published on

‎Martin Zubimendi is willing to leave Arsenal during the January transfer window as the Spain international continue to struggle for game-time.

‎Signed for £59.5m (€70m) in the summer of 2025, Zubimendi has failed to replicate his form at Real Sociedad in England. Despite having an encouraging first season, the 27-year-old has lost his place in Mikel Arteta’s team.

‎This season, he has made 10 appearances and has started only twice, both in the EFL Cup. Zubimendi has played just 15 minutes in the Champions League and 99 in the Premier League.

‎Reports from TeamTalk have now claimed Zubimendi is ready to leave Arsenal in January to try to relaunch his career.

‎The Spain international wants more playing time and this he cannot get at the Emirates Stadium. Top European clubs are aware of this decision taken by the midfielder.

‎Real Madrid, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid have all shown an interest in a return to La Liga for the former Real Sociedad man.

‎However, it is still unclear if these clubs will be eager to have him on a short-term deal.

‎Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund have also been informed of Zubimendi’s decision. The same goes for Chelsea and Liverpool in England.

‎Arsenal are prepared to sanction a deal as they are aware of their player’s desire to leave the club this winter.
