Neymar snub reunion plans with Messi at Inter Miami, set to join Santos

Published on

Neymar is reportedly on the verge of returning to his boyhood club Santos as he aims to put an end to his nightmare spell in Saudi Arabia.

Undoubtedly one of the best forwards in football history, Neymar has failed to play at his best at Al Hilal with the Brazilian struggling with injury. The
Brazil national team all-time top goalscorer is now close to completing a six-month loan to Santos.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Santos have tabled an official offer to Al-Hilal and are close to beating a host of MLS clubs to a sensational coup.

Should Neymar finalise the switch, he will see out the remaining time on his contract with the Saudi Arabian club on loan at Santos, rejecting the chance of a reunion with Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez at Inter Miami.

Inter Miami have been linked with the Brazilian but the probability of seeing the famous MSN play together just as they did in Barcelona is not feasible.

Neymar arrived in Saudi Arabia in 2023 but has struggled with injuries and form, leaving fans and the club disappointed. He is now eager to get back on track with the hope of making the Brazilian national team for the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

Santos fans adore Neymar who came through their ranks at the age of 17. He left for Barcelona in 2013 after 225 games and 136 goals in the Santos shirt, a return might just be what he needs to get his career back on track.
