The 2025 Ballon d’Or’s best coach awards nominees list have been released with Paris Saint-Germain manager Luis Enrique topping the list in the men’s category.
Now named the Johan Cruyff Trophy, the 2025 edition of the Ballon d’Or’s best coach awards will be contested by top managers in the male and female football.
Liverpool boss Arne Slot, Lionesses manager Sarina Wiegman and Paris Saint-Germain’s Luis Enrique are among the prominent nominees for the Johan Cruyff awards that will be given away at the 2025 Ballon d’Or. Both Chelsea coaches, Enzo Maresca and Sonia Bompastor, have been nominated as well, along with Barcelona’s Hansi Flick, who inspired the Blaugranas to a domestic treble.

Last year’s recipients of the Johan Cruyff Award—Carlo Ancelotti, then of Real Madrid, and Emma Hayes, now head coach of the USWNT. However, both manager are not among this year’s nominees.
The 2025 Ballon d’Or ceremony promises to be another night of glamour, storytelling, and celebration at the Theatre du Châtelet in Paris. Coaches, players, and dignitaries from around the world will gather to honour the finest achievements from the 2024–25 season.
