Napoli release official statement over Kvaratskhelia’s future

Seria A giant Napoli have released an official statement over the future of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia following an outburst from the playmaker agent.
Napoli endured a difficult 2023/24 season, failing to qualify for European football just months after they won the Seria A title for the first time in 33 years.
With Kvaratskhelia linked to clubs across Europe, his agent Mamuka Jugeli, says the Georgian ace wants to leave Napoli this summer.
Kvaratskhelia’s representative released an interview with Georgian media Sport Imedi, as quoted by La Gazzetta dello Sport, saying that his client wants to leave Napoli and play in the Champions League next season.
“I don’t want people to think that Kvara wants to stay at Napoli,” said Jugeli.
“We want to leave, but we are waiting for the end of the Euros so as not to disturb Khvicha. The priority is to join a team that plays in the Champions League.”
The winger’s father, Badri, shared the same view: “I don’t want my son to stay at Napoli. They changed three coaches last season, and it’s hard to play in a similar situation.”
However, Napoli have come out to counter this statement. According to the club, Kvaratskhelia is under contract until 2027 and will not be allowed to leave.
Napoli statement reads:
“After Kvaratskhelia’s camp statement, we want to remind that he’s under contract until June 2027”.
“Kvaratskelia is NOT for sale”.
“Player’s agents do NOT decide where they are going, but it’s Napoli deciding when they are under contract”.
Napoli have recently hired Antonio Conte as their new head coach. The ex-Juventus and Inter tactician has signed a three-year deal with the Partenopei.
Conte is willing to build his squad around Kvaratskelia who has been linked with a move to PSG and Barcelona.
