Casemiro closes in on big-money exit from Manchester United

Manchester United are expected to sanction the exit of some senior players in the squad as Ruben Amorim makes his stand on the team.

With United currently not at their best, Amorim is not willing to wait until the summer transfer window before he starts rebuilding the team. It’s expected to be a busy January for United’s recruitment team as they hope to bring in players that match the club’s desire.

However, topping the list of players heading out of the exit door at Old Trafford is Marcus Rashford and Casemiro.

While Rashford is still in talks with various clubs, veteran midfielder Casemiro is reportedly on the verge of a departure.

Casemiro is closing in on a move to Saudi Arabia, though his exact destination is unknown at this point. The veteran midfielder has struggled this season, with United now ready to move him on.

According to Os Donos da Bola, Casemiro is already ‘packing his bags’, with the Saudi Public Investment Fund, which owns several of the country’s teams, having ‘practically’ closed the deal.

At this point, Al Nassr appears to be the frontrunners to officially sign him. Cristiano Ronaldo is understood to be keen to reunite with his old team-mate from Real Madrid as he approaches the end of his contract with Nassr.

United are also considering signing Napoli star Khvicha Kvaratskhelia as Marcus Rashford replacement.

According to L’Equipe, the Red Devils are ready to rival Paris Saint-Germain for Kvaratskhelia’s signature. It is claimed that ‘concrete contacts’ have got underway between United and the 23-year-old.
