William Saliba to become Arsenal’s third-highest earner with ‘new contract offer’

Arsenal are prepared to offer William Saliba a new contract amidst speculations linking the France international with Real Madrid.
Despite having to go out on loan three times before he established his position in the starting XI, Saliba has grown to become one of the best players in his position, the Frenchman has formed a great partnership with Gabriel.
After joining the Gunners in 2019 for a £25million (€30m) fee, the French centre-half spent time at former club Saint-Etienne, OGC Nice and Marseille.
Saliba returned to Arsenal in the summer of 2022 and has made 119 appearances since – scoring seven goals and assisting twice. The 23-year-old’s importance cannot be understated, with the Frenchman winning 64 of the 90 Premier League matches he’s played in, keeping a whopping 39 clean sheets.

With Real Madrid monitoring his situation at Arsenal, the Premier League giant are looking at making Saliba their third-highest earner.
Arsenal are reportedly offering Saliba a new £250,000 contract.
Currently, Saliba is the seventh highest earner at Arsenal, with a £190,000 weekly wage and an annual salary of £9.8m. His new contract will see his annual salary rise to £13m, which places him higher up on the list – but not the biggest earner at the club.
Former Chelsea forward Kai Havertz is currently Arsenal’s biggest earner. The Germany international earns an astonishing £280,000 a week, which totals out to £14.5m a year. Next up is Gabriel Jesus, who is on £265,000 a week and £13.7m a year.
Should Saliba accept his new deal, it will make him the third highest earner – meaning he’ll be making more than Martin Odegaard and Declan Rice – both on £240,000 – as well as Bukayo Saka (£195,000) and the Frenchman’s centre-half counterpart Gabriel, who is on £100,000 a week.
