Andre Onana wanted by European powerhouse as Red Devils make transfer stance

Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana has been linked with a shock summer move to Seria A side, AC Milan.

Onana’s future has been in the news for the past few months, with a number of clubs from the Saudi Pro League believed to be interested in securing his signature at the end of the 2024-25 campaign.

Though Onana is allegedly happy at Old Trafford and not considering an exit, he could be allowed to leave if the club confirm that he is surplus to requirements.

According to Fichajes, AC Milan are interested in Onana, with the San Siro giants viewing him as a potential replacement for Mike Maignan, should the France international move on this summer.

Maignan will allegedly be sold this summer if Milan fail to qualify for the 2025-26 Champions League, with Chelsea and Aston Villa believed to be among the clubs keen on his signature at the end of the campaign.

Milan are currently ninth in the Serie A table six points off fourth-placed Bologna, with the team therefore facing a battle to ensure Champions League qualification for next term.

Onana will have no issues settling down in Italy. The Cameroon international turned out for Inter Milan during the 2022-23 campaign, making 41 appearances for the Italian giants, keeping 19 clean sheets in the process.

He joined Manchester United in 2023 and have made 91 appearances across all competitions, Onana has kept just 22 clean sheets, while he has conceded 136 times.
