Former Arsenal star released by Juventus, contract mutually terminated
Former Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech has agreed to leave Juventus by mutual consent, making the Polish goalkeeper a free agent.
Juventus are currently going through a rebuilding process and Szczesny has become the tenth first-team player to depart the Seria A side since the end of last season. However, the club have brought in new players with a combined fee of €70m which has been spent on Douglas Luiz and Khephren Thuram.
Szczesny had a year on his current but has agreed to leave Juventus. Juve had already signed Michele Di Gregorio on an initial loan with obligation to buy from Monza and the 27-year-old takes over as No.1 in Turin.

Now a free agent, Szczesny was initially linked with a move Al Nassr in the Saudi Pro League but all parties involved failed to agree a fee.
Szczesny made his name at Arsenal, moving to London from his native Warsaw as a 16-year-old will now be seeking a new challenge at a new club. Having failed to get first team opportunities at Arsenal, Szczesny joined Roma on loan for two years until Juventus signed him on a permanent transfer in 2017.
He succeeded Juve legend Gianluigi Buffon as number one in 2018 and gone on to make a name for himself at the club.
