Arsenal Star Tipped To Leave Emirates Midway Into First Season
Arsenal midfielder Christian Norgaard has been linked with a move out of the club with Dutch giants Ajax reportedly exploring a move for the Dane.
Norgaard joined Arsenal from Brentford in the summer but has failed to get enough game time. Despite not willing to leave anytime soon, the 31-year-old is featured on a shortlist of experienced midfield options being considered by Ajax director of football Marijn Beuker.
Beuker is currently on a scouting mission across Europe to secure a new defensive leader for Ajax.
According to De Telegraaf, the Dutch club are seriously investigating the possibility of signing Norgaard, just months after he joined Mikel Arteta’s setup at Arsenal.

Beuker is reportedly looking for players who can be immediate leaders, and Norgaard, with his wealth of Premier League experience, fits the profile perfectly.
With a guaranteed starting role promised in the Eredivisie, Ajax believes Norgaard might take the opportunity to start a new challenge elsewhere.
Norgaard is not the only high-profile Premier League name being monitored by the four-time European champions. The report details that Beuker is “playing chess on many boards,” with the club’s recruitment team conducting serious due diligence on several targets currently plying their trade in England.
Alongside the Arsenal man, Liverpool’s Wataru Endo and Manchester United’s Manuel Ugarte are also named as serious candidates.
Known for developing youth to play at the highest level, Ajax have decide to shift their strategy as the now seek battle-hardened professionals to guide their talented squad.
