Barcelona likely to be without Ronald Araujo for three weeks due to sprained ankle
Barcelona are set to be without Ronald Araujo who suffered a sprained ankle against Sevilla on Sunday and will be out of action for around three weeks.
Araujo who recently made his way back on the pitch after a long injury lay off was forced off midway through the first half of Barca’s game against Sevilla. The Uruguay international appeared to pick up the issue following a hefty challenge from Saul.
Minutes later, Araujo was spotted on the bench with an ice pack on his ankle and will now undergo further tests on the injury.

According to AS, the early prognosis is that Araujo has suffered a sprain and will now be out for around three weeks.
If that proves to be correct, then Araujo will miss La Liga games against Rayo Vallecano, Osasuna and Real Sociedad as well as the first leg of the Copa del Rey semi-finals.
When asked after the game about Araujo’s current situation, Hansi Flick did not seem too worried.
“We have to wait until tomorrow to see what Araujo has. It doesn’t seem like a serious injury.”
Araujo seems to have found his way back into the team and will now be replaced by Inigo Martinez. Martinez will reclaim his starting spot alongside Pau Cubarsi in the heart of the defence, with Andreas Christensen and Eric Garcia the back-up options.
