‘He’s not 100%’: Barcelona working hard to find midfielder’s best level
Barcelona are in top form, however, the club have been unable to get the best out of some players due to various reasons.
Topping the list of players yet to play an important role under Hansi Flick’s team is Frenkie de Jong. The Netherland international has been way off his best form after returning from a long spell out with an ankle injury.
Barca manager Hansi Flick has now revealed that De Jong is yet to get back to his best. According to Flick, the club are working hard to try and get the best out of De Jong.

Speaking after the match against Brest in the Champions League, Flick said: “De Jong is working very hard to get back to his best level. He’s not 100%, but we’re working on it and he will. I am happy that the other midfielders are playing well,” he told reporters.
“We will try to get De Jong back to the best physical level, we are all working on it.”
De Jong has now made nine appearances this season for Barca and will be given more opportunities to impress.
The Dutchman was whistled by some sections of the Barca support on Tuesday night as he came on for the final few minutes against Brest.
De Jong’s future is also the subject of much debate once again. It’s been reported he’s been offered a new contract but is yet to respond to the club.
