‘He’s a bit down’: Barcelona’s €30m star forward future clarified by club legend
Barcelona icon Rivaldo is confident the club will welcome back Brazilian forward Vitor Roque once his loan spell at Real Betis comes to an end.
Rivaldo is one of the most memorable players to have donned the FC Barcelona jersey and various Brazilian players have followed his footsteps to play for the Catalonia side.
Currently, Raphinha is flying the Brazilian flag high at Barcelona but his compatriots Vitor Roque was allowed to leave the club on loan after struggling for game time.
Rivaldo in one of his recent interviews with SPORT has now shed light on Roque’s future as well as the improvement in the form of Raphinha.

Speaking about the problems faced by Vitor Roque at Barcelona, Rivaldo said:
“The confidence… Vitor arrived mid-season, during a difficult time. He didn’t have the trust or the playing time, but he’s an amazing player and will gain a lot of experience at Betis and, surely, return to Barcelona.”
“Right now, he’s a bit down, a little sad about leaving Barcelona, but he can come back and make a difference in the future because he knows how to play.”
The €30m-rated Brazilian forward has a lot to prove at Real Betis if he is to return to Barcelona and get an important role in the team. For now, he has played 7 games with the Verdiblancos, scoring 2 goals in the process.
Roque is gradually getting familiar with the Spanish league and it’s left to be seen if he will be given the chance to play next season when he comes back from his current loan spell.
