Chelsea loanee desperate to extend contract despite summer loan exit

Published on

Chelsea in the past few seasons have become popular for sending young players on loan for experience and this looks like a trend that will continue.

The London club during the summer sanctioned various loan deals and this include goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic who joined RC Strasbourg on loan.

Despite looking like the goalkeeper that will replace Robert Sanchez as the blues number one, the arrival of Filip Jorgensen in the summer saw him became the third choice and eventually decided to go on loan.

Though he has limited chances of making the first team next season, Petrovic still hopes to break into their first team under Enzo Maresca.

While his contract at Stamford Bridge runs until the summer of 2030, they could look to sell him next summer when he’s back at the club.

The Serb still hopes to work his way into the plans of Maresca, and the Chelsea staff are believed to be keeping a close eye on his development at the French club.

Petrovic has only featured in four matches for the Ligue 1 outfit, he has started to impress one and all with his performances, he will be eager to continue his good form.
