“Not at my best” – Chelsea star opens up on current form, pre-season issues
Chelsea winger Pedro Neto has opened up on his current form with the London club after a summer move from Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Neto joined the leagues of players to make the switch to Stamford Bridge and while the move was condemned by some fans, the Portuguese winger has found a place in Enzo Maresca’s team.
Since arriving at Chelsea, the Portuguese star has scored two goals and registered an assist. He was on the scoresheet in the west London club’s 4-2 win over KAA Gent on Thursday.
After the UEFA Conference League tie, the attacker spoke to DAZN in Portugal, relayed by O Jogo. The former Wolves man stated he’s working behind the scenes to reach his peak.

“I’m not at my best shape yet. I want to get there and I’m working hard to do so. I’ve had very little pre-season and I’ve always said that I’m going to work hard to reach my best moment and become a better player,” he said.
The Portugal international is of the belief he’s constantly improving at the London club.
“It’s been great, I’m learning a lot, I’m improving, I feel better and better, closer and closer to my level. It’s always unbelievable to score in front of these fans, who are so supportive. It was a great victory,” Pedro Neto explained.
Neto remains hopeful of making it to the Portugal squad for the upcoming matches.
“Without a doubt [I hope], to end up with the icing on the cake,” he added.
