Bayern Munich confirms talks with former Manchester United manager

Bayern Munich are still on the lookout for a new manager and the Bundesliga giant have set their sight on former Manchester United coach, Ralf Rangnick.

Thomas Tuchel’s era as Bayern Munich coach will come to an end when the current season ends. The former Chelsea manager has failed to convince Bayern fans with his team performances.

Bayern Munich failed to dominate the Bundesliga like they’ve done in the past with Bayern Leverkusen winning the league this season.

Ahead of what will be a massive change in the club, former Bayern Munich president Uli Hoeness confirmed that the Bavarian side are in talks with Ralf Rangnick to become their new manager.

Speaking to Frankfurter Allgemeine, Hoeness said [via Fabrizio Romano]: “Yes, there are talks ongoing with Ralf Rangnick. I think we will have a decision within a week.”

Ralf Rangnick is currently managing the Austria national team and it’s left to see if he’ll be willing to take over the soon-to-be vacant post at Bayern Munich.
