Feyenoord Reject Liverpool’s Opening €9M Offer For Arne Slot

Feyenoord have reportedly rejected Liverpool’s opening offer for head coach Arne Slot after the Premier League side made the Dutchman their preferred choice to succeed Jürgen Klopp.

Liverpool are currently seeking a new manager to replace Jurgen Klopp who is leaving at the end of the current season.

Though the Reds have been linked with numerous managers, Feyenoord’s head coach Arne Slot has become their main target.

However, latest reports from The Athletic claimed Liverpool have had a €9m offer rejected by Feyenoord, although they remain in direct contact with Arne Slot.

Arne Slot is said to be enthusiastic about the possibility of taking over at Anfield this summer but the Reds will have to reach an agreement with Feyenoord.

Slot spent his entire playing career in the Netherlands, featuring in midfield for PEC Zwolle, NAC Breda and Sparta Rotterdam.

He took up coaching roles at PEC Zwolle after hanging up his boots in 2013 before being appointed as an assistant coach at Cambuur.

In 2017, he joined AZ Alkmaar, initially working as an assistant before being appointed as head coach two years later.

Slot joined Feyenoord in 202 and has transformed them into a powerhouse in European football.
