‘Not World-class’: Former Liverpool star makes shocking statement about Salah’s ability

Mohamed Salah

Former Liverpool star Paul Ince has made a shocking statement about Mohamed Salah, insisting that the Egyptian forward is not a world-class player.

Mohamed Salah joined Liverpool from Roma in the summer of 2017 and has grown to become a legend in the club.

The talented forward currently has 209 goals alongside 88 assists across the 340 games and has become an important of the team.

Despite being considered one of the best to have ever played the game, Ince who spent time at Anfield between 1997 and 1999, noted that is not “world-class”.

Speaking on talkSPORT, Ince acknowledges that Salah is a world-class goalscorer but should not be classified as a world-class player.

“I think his record speaks for itself,” Ince said.

Asked is Salah should be considered world-class. He continued: “Is he a world-class player? Technically, I wouldn’t say so.

“I think sometimes when he cuts in on his left foot, putting balls into the box, they are not great.

“But as a far as a world-class player scoring goals and making things happen, I think yes.”

It’s left to see how Liverpool fans will react to Paul Ince’s take on Mohamed Salah. The 31-year-old will also be eager to continue his good form for the club.
