Manchester City are reportedly lining up a summer move for 26-year-old Crystal Palace attacking midfielder Eberechi Eze.
According to a report from Spanish outlet Fichajes, Manchester City are keen on signing Eberechi Eze as a replacement for Julian Alvarez. The Argentine international is heading to Atletico Madrid, and he will need to be replaced adequately.
The 26-year-old will be trusted for goals and creativity in the final third. He is capable of operating as the central attacking midfielder as well as a wide player. However, Manchester City will face stiff competition from other Premier League sides like Arsenal, Liverpool, and Tottenham.
Eberechi Eze scored 11 goals in all competitions last season, and he picked up six assists along the way as well. His ability to slot into multiple roles makes him an attractive prospect for the Premier League champions.
The report added that City are willing to trigger his release clause.
Eze represented England at EURO 2024 and Palace will be willing to cash out on him if the right offer comes in, valued at €80 million, Manchester City certainly have the financial muscle to pay up.
