Real Madrid star midfielder ruled out for 3-4 weeks, to miss Champions League final

Real Madrid will be without Aurelien Tchouameni for three to four weeks after the Frenchman suffered an injury during Madrid’s victory over Bayern Munich.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side produced another epic comeback to book a place in this season Champions League final but it came at a cost.

Aurelien Tchouameni was taken off midway through the second half. The Frenchman played an important role in both legs but his contribution was cut short.

Real Madrid have now confirmed that the player had suffered a stress injury to his left foot.

Providing more clarity on the injury, French outlet, L’Equipe stated that Tchouameni has been playing with pain in his foot for a while now.

Carlo Ancelotti sees the player as essential to his team’s dynamics, and as such the midfielder has been playing through the pain and has always been ready to give his all.

The report added that Tchouameni is expected to be out for at least three to four weeks, a move that means the Frenchman will be unavailable for the UCL final at Wembley.

Tchouameni has been able to help stabilize the defense in the absence of Real Madrid’s recognized center-backs.
