‎Harry Kane gives timeline for Bayern Munich contract renewal 

‎England international Harry Kane has revealed he’s expecting to sign a new contract with Bayern Munich next month.

‎The former Tottenham Hotspur forward current deal in Germany is set to expire at the end of the season, a move that has caught the attention of top clubs. ‎

‎Barcelona are among the clubs monitoring the situation but Kane would love to continue in Munich, where he has enjoyed a stunning two-year spell following a €120m ($136.8m) move from Tottenham.

‎Asked for an update on his club future, Kane said on Friday while on international duty with England: “Talks are going well. I’ve been quite open and honest about that. We are still in talks now and I think they are progressing in the right way. Both sides have been very relaxed about it. Everyone can see I am happy there, the way I’m performing, the way I talk off the pitch. I think it is just open and honest. I am hoping something gets done.

‎”In terms of how it is affecting me mentally, I just get on with these kind of things. I like to take seasons as they come. I’m still contracted for another nine months officially so nothing from that point of view changes but over this camp I am concentrating more on being with England. Those contract talks can hold fire, it’s for the team behind me to talk and deal with those things.

‎”Over the next month or so there should be some sort of decision and I think it will be a positive one.”

‎Kane last week broke the 49-year record for the fastest player to score 100 Bundesliga goals in Bayern’s 7-0 victory over Union Berlin.

‎The striker has scored 152 goals in 154 appearances across all competitions for Bayern and is among the favourites to win this year’s Ballon d’Or.
