Ivan Toney makes transfer decision, set to seal £104million move

England forward Ivan Toney has agreed a deal to join Saudi Pro League side Al-Ahli, bringing an end to a year-long transfer saga.

According to multiple result, Brentford will receive a fee of £40million for the striker, who will sign a four-year deal with his new club. Combined, the fee and his wages will make it a £104m move.

Toney has been linked with a move away from Brentford for over a year with the English forward linked to Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal. However, none of the clubs were able to reach an agreement with Toney and Brentford.

Brentford boss Thomas Frank has left Toney out of both of his matchday squads so far this season. The 28-year-old is now set to begin a new adventure in Saudi Pro League.

Toney represented England at the EURO 2024 after putting up an impressive performance in the league. He scored 4 goals and provided 2 assists in 17 appearances in the Premier League in 2023-24.

He will be joining the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, Neymar, Ngolo Kante, Fabinho, and Mitrovic in the Saudi Pro League. Napoli forward Victor Osimhen has also been linked with a move to the league despite interest from Chelsea.
