Juventus confirm final decision on Paul Pogba’s future ahead of return
Paul Pogba is set to make his much anticipated return to the football pitch in March 2025 after his doping ban was reduced from four years to 18 months.
However, the former Manchester United midfielder might be playing elsewhere as Juventus director Cristiano Giuntoli closed the door to a possible return to the squad for the French midfielder.
Pogba, who is under contract until the summer of 2026 recently admitted he would happily agree to a pay cut in order to play for Juventus again.
Unfortunately for Pogba, Giuntoli has confirmed there will be no return to the team as Juventus have opted to move in a different direction.
“Our position is clear. Pogba has been a great player, he has been out for a long time and last year we were forced to invest in other players,” Giuntoli told DAZN.
“So now the squad is complete as it is.”
Juventus have been in good form since Thiago Motta was announced as their manager in the summer. It is reported that Motta already has the squad he believes in and does not want to include a high profile name like Pogba.
Pogba and Juventus are expected to discuss a contract termination for the high-earning Frenchman, with both parties now accepting a fresh start is the only possible move.
The World Cup winning midfielder is not short of suitors with reports suggesting that he could join up with Roberto De Zerbi at Marseille if he does become a free agent.
Also, a switch to Major League Soccer with Los Angeles FC has also been suggested in the media. He has also been linked with the Saudi Arabia football league.
