Kevin De Bruyne Injury: Pep Guardiola shares update ahead of Arsenal tie
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has shared an update about Kevin De Bruyne injury ahead of the Citizens clash against Arsenal on Sunday.
City will face off with Arsenal on Sunday in a game that might have a huge impact on who will win the Premier League. However, De Bruyne is a doubt for the match having picked up an injury in City’s Champions League match against Inter Milan.
Despite limping off the pitch, Pep Guardiola has
refused to rule the Belgium international out of Sunday’s clash with Arsenal, saying he could yet be involved.
“He feels a little better today… Tomorrow we train and we will see. He could be [involved],” Guardiola told a news conference on Friday.
Manchester City have been unbeaten this season and are top of the Premier League after winning all of their opening four games. Meanwhile, Arsenal has drawn one match but bounced back to defeat Tottenham Hotspur in their last Premier League match.
City are not believed to be battling any other new injury concerns aside from De Bruyne. Versatile defender Nathan Ake is still sidelined as a result of the thigh injury he suffered while away on international duty with the Netherlands earlier this month.
Guardiola also remains without Norwegian midfielder Oscar Bobb, who underwent surgery on a fractured leg in August and was said to be facing up to fourth months out of action.
