Kylian Mbappe losing 5kg due to illness, returns to Real Madrid training
Kylian Mbappe is yet to feature for Real Madrid at the ongoing Club World Cup tournament in the United States but the Frenchman has returned to training after some days out.
While Real Madrid players battled it out in their first two group stage matches at the Club World Cup, Mbappe was hospitalised with gastroenteritis. The former Paris Saint-Germain star missed out of these games due to the stomach infection and reportedly lost 5kg before linking up with his team-mates again.
According to popular transfer journalist, Fabrizio Romano, Mbappe returned to training ahead of Madrid’s final group game.

The Spanish giant will face Salzburg in the early hours of Friday morning and whether Mbappe is fit enough to feature in Xabi Alonso’s squad.
In Mbappe’s absence, Madrid have taken four points from their two group games, drawing with Al-Hilal before beating Pachuca. They need a win against Salzburg to secure top spot in Group H, though a draw could be enough if Al-Hilal fail to beat Pachuca.
Mbappe was last in action for France during the most recent international break earlier this month, scoring two goals to help France claim third place in the Nations League.
