“They made two offers”: La Liga star reveals why he rejected Chelsea’s offer

Real Sociedad star, Arsen Zacharjan has revealed that he rejected two offers from Premier League side, Chelsea, before opting to join the Spanish club.

Arsen Zacharjan joined Real Sociedad from Dynamo Moscow last summer, and has been able to become an important player in the squad.

The attacking midfielder has scored a goal and registered two assists from 32 games for La Real this season.

Speaking to Mundo Deportivo about his debut season so far, Zacharjan noted that his move to Real Sociedad has been a success.

According to him, the move has helped him with his development. The Russia international added that he had offers from Chelsea but decided to shun the English side.

Zacharjan explained: “I had an offer from Chelsea, but I preferred to come to Real. I wanted to come to La Liga, to Spain, and that’s why I came to Real.

“Real’s game is very favourable for me. We are a team that always want the ball, and I like to have it, very active, and that is what I like.”

“It was a total success to come to Real. I’ve taken about 10 steps forward. I am developing here, I am very happy and I plan to continue here, improving,” he added.

Chelsea in the past few transfer windows have been adding young talent to their squad as the club hopes to bounce back from its current state.
