Man Utd Stance On Ruben Amorim Future Revealed

Published on

Manchester United have decided not to sack Ruben Amorim despite the club bad start to the season, latest report have claimed.

Ruben Amorim’s team were easily brushed aside 3-0 by a Manchester City side coming off back-to-back defeats at a rainy Etihad Stadium on Sunday thanks to Erling Haaland’s second-half brace and an early goal from Phil Foden.

United’s latest error-strewn performance led to an all-too-familiar reaction, with former-players-turned-pundits voicing their displeasure over the team performance. Topping that list is Wayne Rooney who said things had gotten worse under the current coaching regime.

The derby hammering continued a dreadful opening to the season at Old Trafford, with Amorim’s side having won just one and lost three of their first five games across all competitions.

United are currently experiencing their worst opening to a season in 33 years despite spending more than £200million on new signings, with more pressure piled on Amorim – who insisted that United will have to sack him before he considers changing his philosophy and system.

However, the Manchester Evening News reported on Monday that the Portuguese coach still had the backing of the United hierarchy despite winning just eight of his first 31 league matches in charge, quoting an unnamed source close to Amorim who apparently admitted it was “incredible” that his position is not yet under threat.

Sky Sports also reported on Monday that there are currently no plans among the United decision-makers to seek another managerial change.

With Chelsea expected to visit Old Trafford on Saturday, Amorim will be eager to turn things around as defeat might see him lose his job.

Fans will be desperately hoping that the clear midweeks and extra time on the training pitch will help Amorim solve the problem affecting his team.
