Man Utd reach agreement with Napoli over Scott McTominay transfer
Manchester United have agreed a deal with Napoli to sell Scott McTominay. According to multiple reports the deal is worth €30m (£25.4m).
McTominay has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford all through the transfer with the Red Devils turning down bid from Premier League side Fulham and West Ham United.
Fulham saw two bids rejected for McTominay because United deemed £20m insufficient for the Scotland international. However, Napoli stepped up their interest and have reached an agreement with United.
The Athletic reports that United have given the green light to the move after Napoli stumped up €30m (£25.4m) for McTominay. United have also negotiated a clause which will see them receive a share of any future transfer fee for the 27-year-old midfielder. However, Napoli still have to agree personal terms with McTominay.
Manchester United are now set to sign Ugarte from Paris Saint-Germain. The French giants are still holding out for £51m for the Uruguay international, who is not part of manager Luis Enrique’s plan.
Report claimed United are willing to pay £42m for Ugarte, while PSG have suggested a season-long loan deal with an obligation to buy for £51m next summer. The sale of McTominay could help speed things up ahead of the August 30 deadline.
