Mo Salah gets green-light to pursue lucrative Saudi transfer

Liverpool forward Mo Salah has reportedly been giving the permission to pursue a move to Saudi Arabian club Al-Ittihad, with talks currently underway.

Salah, 33, has been heavily linked with a move to the Saudi Pro League over the past few years, with Al-Ittihad notably bidding £150million for his services in 2023.

However, the Egyptian forward had an explosive fallout with manager Arne Slot earlier this season, and despite the issue has been resolve, Salah’s future has continued to make headlines.

According A report from Foot Mercato, Salah has told his agent, Ramy Abbas Issa, to move forward with negotiations.

Reports added that Salah is much more open to the idea of joining Al-Ittihad than he was 12 months ago. The reigning Saudi champions recently parted ways with Karim Benzema, freeing up room in their budget for Salah.

Salah is currently enduring the least prolific season since moving to Merseyside in 2017, having only scored six goals this term.
