Bernardo Silva has reportedly given Manchester City a notice about his future, informing the club he intends to leave the club at the end of the season.

A cornerstone of Pep Guardiola’s success in Manchester, Silva is reportedly seeking a fresh challenge as his current contract approaches its expiration date.

According to Caught Offside, rather than wait for speculations to mount on his future, the 31-year-old has formally informed the club that he will be moving on this summer once his deal expires.

Unless he changes his mind, this move will mark the end of a trophy-laden nine-year stint in the Premier League.

Silva currently has six Premier League titles and the Champions League among a haul of 16 trophies in total during his time in England, he will depart as a certified club legend.

Manchester City are now looking at rebuilding the squad with fresh talents. The club has reportedly identified Newcastle’s Sandro Tonali and Nottingham Forest’s Elliot Anderson as the ideal candidates

Silva has long been linked with a move to La Liga, and it is alleged that his priority remains playing for Barcelona.

Several European giants like Atletico Madrid, Juventus, and Napoli also thought to be in the conversation as they gauge the feasibility of a deal.

A move to Barcelona might be difficult with the Spanish giant not financially buoyant. However, Silva is reportedly willing to accept a reduced financial package to make the move happen.

On a contrary, the Portuguese playmaker might also be offered the chance to play in the Middle East or the Major League Soccer.
