Huge Decision! Pep Guardiola to make call on Man City future
Pep Guardiola is expected to make a huge decision on his future at Manchester City following the Citizens exit from the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday night.
Man City were dumped out of the Champions League by Real Madrid, with the Spanish giant winning the tie 5-1 on aggregate. Guardiola failed to find an answer to Madrid’s performance as a Vinicius Jr brace helped Los Blancos seal a 2-1 win in the second leg.
Following the game, Guardiola’s future was questioned and the Spaniard provided a blunt response to the media.
“Everybody wants to fire me,” Guardiola said. “One day I will come out here and say ‘bye, bye guys’.” After a decade at the helm, the 55-year-old remains under contract until 2027, but the manner of their European exit has only heightened speculation that he could walk away earlier than planned.

According to report from Daily Mail, Guardiola will take a break and make his mind up about his future following Sunday’s Carabao Cup final against Arsenal.
He is expected to use this upcoming international window to make a significant decision in his coaching career.
Guardiola is undoubtedly one of the greatest managers in football history. Despite his team failure to get past Madrid on Tuesday, the former Bayern Munich manager wrote his name into the history books of European football.
By taking charge of the second leg, Guardiola has officially surpassed Sir Alex Ferguson to claim second place for the most games managed in Champions League history with 191 matches.
However, he still trails Carlo Ancelotti’s record of 218 games managed in the competition.
Guardiola will now be eager to work his magic when City take on Arsenal in the Carabao Cup Final on Sunday at Wembley Stadium.
