Premier League legend picks side in Rashford vs Amorim debate
Marcus Rashford has been under the spotlight in the past few weeks after being dropped by new Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim.
Rashford has been left out of the squad for United’s last four games, with boss Ruben Amorim confirming the 27-year-old is no closer to being brought back into the fold.
Having been left out of United’s 2-1 derby win at local rivals Manchester City, Rashford declared his desire for a “new challenge” and his exile has continued ever since.
Premier League legend Alan Shearer has now insist that Rashford’s predicament must be sorted sooner rather than later.

According to him, having a resolution on this crisis will be good for both parties, and stressed the need for United’s hierarchy to back their manager’s judgment.
“They have to back Amorim,” said Betfair ambassador Shearer. “They’ve brought him in because it hasn’t been anywhere near good enough and he needs to sort that mess out.
“He has to be able to do what he wants, and the situation with Marcus Rashford will be sorted out, whether it’s sorted out in January, I guess for both parties will come to an agreement, but that’s part of the process of who he wants to get out of the club and who he wants to bring in.
“Clearly, it isn’t a healthy situation for the club, if Marcus doesn’t want to be there and the manager doesn’t want him there either. If that is the case, then it’s best for both parties that something sooner rather than later is sorted out – that’s easier said than done when you’re on a huge contract.”
United are prepared to sell Rashford in January if the right offer comes in. The England international is valued at £40million, but his £325,000-a-week wages could prove problematic in finding a buyer.
