Ruben Amorim identifies players he wants out during first training sessions

Published on

Ruben Amorim has begun his adventure as the new Manchester United manager and report claimed he has identified players who will not be part of his team.

Amorim replaced Erik ten Hag at Old Trafford and has been tasked with bringing back the club to its glory days. However, some of the current players in the squad will not be part of the team that will strive to achieve success at Old Trafford.

According to The Sun, Amorim has been left reassessing the size of the job on his hands at Manchester United after his introductory training sessions.

The report claimed Amorim believes there has been a lack of intensity on the training ground, as he attempts to drill his new charges to play in a 3-4-3 formation.

Though United’s biggest stars were not available for the training due to their involvement in international matches, Amorim is said to have been disappointed with the efforts of some of those players not picked by their countries.

He was consistently encouraging them to speed things up, and the report suggests he has already identified a number of players who will not fit into his style of play.

United are currently 13th in the Premier League and Amorim will be eager to put only those capable of playing his style on the pitch.

Just four points behind fourth-placed Arsenal, Amorim will take charge of his first game as Manchester United manager when the Red Devils visit Ipswich on Sunday.
