Thomas Partey is expected to leave Arsenal, as negotiations over a new deal at the London club ends in standstill, according to ESPN.

The Ghana midfielder, whose contract expires in June, is not expected to re-sign with Mikel Arteta’s side. According to ESPN, negotiations for a possible renewal are at a complete standstill and that Partey will leave the club on June 30.

Partey has attracted interest from other clubs, including from Turkish sides. The former Atletico Madrid midfielder has also been linked with a move to Barcelona.

The 32-year-old arrived at Arsenal in 2020 and has become a key figure in Arteta’s side as they became challengers for the title. He has played more than 160 games for the club, scoring nine goals.

Meanwhile, Arsenal defender Myles Lewis-Skelly and Chelsea forward Liam Delap are among the players shortlisted for the 2024-25 Men’s PFA Young Player of the Year award.

The award is voted for by the players at the end of each season, with the winner set to be announced at a ceremony at Manchester Opera House on Aug. 19.

New Real Madrid signing Dean Huijsen has also been nominated following a stand-out individual season at Bournemouth, with former Cherries teammate Milos Kerkez, Arsenal forward Ethan Nwaneri and Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers completing the six-man shortlist.

Lewis-Skelly, 18, is nominated following a breakout campaign for Arsenal, during which he scored his first senior goal in a 5-1 victory over Manchester City.
