Victor Osimhen’s only route to Chelsea this summer transfer revealed

Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen has continued to be linked with a move away from Napoli with Chelsea his likely destination.

However, Chelsea have not been able to reach an agreement with Napoli despite being in the market for a striker. Currently, the London club have Marc Guiu and Nicolas Jackson as their recognized forward but are willing to add more experience.

Though other strikers have also been shortlisted to compete with the available ones, Osimhen has been Chelsea’s top target since the start of the transfer window.

For any deal to be completed, it has been revealed that Osimhen will have to amend his wage demands.

According to GiveMeSport, Napoli are expecting a bid from the Blues imminently following fresh rounds of talks. The Serie A outfit have dropped their asking price for the ex-Lille star in order to facilitate his exit, and Osimhen will have to do the same with his requested salary if he is to put pen to paper with Chelsea.

Chelsea are open to making Osimhen one of the highest earners at Stamford Bridge but his current demands are too high. The Blues have also reignite their interest in Brentford’s Ivan Toney as part of their striker search.

It’s left to see if Osimhen will reduce his wage bill to complete a dream move to Chelsea.
