‎Zinedine Zidane imposes strict new rule for first France training camp

Published on

‎Zinedine Zidane will begin his era as the France national team coach this month and a new atmosphere is set to be witnessed in camp.

‎Appointed as Didier Deschamps‘ replacement, Zidane has banned journalists and cameras from covering the arrival of France players at the Clairefontaine training camp.

‎France has become popular for their arrival videos with the media known for setting up at the training entrance to keep tabs on the likes of Kylian Mbappe and Michael Olise.

‎In recent years, it’s become an impromptu fashion show, with Barcelona right-back Jules Kounde in particular among those to catch the eye.

‎However, Zidane has decided to end the spectacle entirely to ensure the players can concentrate on the task at hand.

‎Zidane will kick off his reign as France boss with the UEFA Nations League meeting with Turkey later this month.

‎Les Bleus then face Belgium to round off September before a game against Italy at the start of October.

‎France then round off the extended international break with a second Group A clash with Turkey.
