100% convinced! Michael Olise tipped for Ballon d’Or greatness
Michael Olise might have failed to win the 2026 Ballon d’Or award but he has been tipped to claim the prestigious individual award before he retires.
Olise has performed exceptionally well in the last few season, but he lost the 2026 Ballon d’Or award to Bayern Munich teammate Harry Kane.
England international Kane was voted the best player ahead of Real Madrid’s Kylian Mbappe and Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal.
However, Bayern Munich chief executive Jan-Christian Dreesen has confidently predicted that Olise will win the Ballon d’Or during his career.

Speaking through official club channels, the chief executive outlined his unwavering belief in Olise’s potential. He feels the current squad provides the perfect platform for individual greatness.
”I am 100 per cent convinced that Michael will win the Ballon d’Or during his career,” Dreesen explained. “At our club, he benefits from an environment that allows him to shine, with team-mates with whom he gets along very well on the pitch.”
Bayern are currently one of the most lethal teams in the world. They’ve created a tactical setup that perfectly suits an explosive winger like Olise.
Playing alongside the likes of Kane, Luis Diaz, Joshua Kimmich, and Manuel Neuer has brought out the best in Olise.
Dreesen was quick to highlight that this collective harmony is the secret behind unlocking elite individual performances.
”That is how you can reach the highest individual level,” the German executive added. “You can be the best player on the planet, but if you don’t have partners to help you, it is useless.”
Since arriving at the Allianz Arena in 2024, Olise has recorded 54 goals and 61 assists in 119 appearances across all competitions, including 12 goals and seven assists this season.
He has started the new season impressively. The Frenchman will look to continue his good form when Bayern take on Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga’s Der Klassiker this Saturday.
