Como Demolish Manchester United 4-1 in Historic Upset

COMO — Cesc Fàbregas authored the greatest night in Como 1907’s modern history on Wednesday evening, orchestrating a sensational 4–1 dismantling of Manchester United at a raucous Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia.

The stunning Matchday 3 UEFA Champions League result leaves Manchester United manager Michael Carrick fighting for his job as a mounting winless streak spirals out of control.

Lightning Strike and First-Half Control

Como wasted zero time putting the visitors under immense pressure. With barely two minutes on the clock, Nico Paz electrified the home crowd by curling home a brilliant opener.

Manchester United struggled to find any structural rhythm, missing basic defensive assignments and failing to test Como goalkeeper Jean Butez effectively during a disjointed opening 45 minutes. Carrick’s side headed into the interval down 1–0 and completely devoid of momentum.

A Second-Half Blitz

If the first half was a warning, the second half turned into a rout as Como ran riot:

Douvikas Strikes (48′): Just three minutes after the restart, Paz turned provider, setting up Anastasios Douvikas to clinically double Como’s advantage.

Paz Adds a Second (57′): Capitalizing on a sloppy turnover in midfield, Paz drove forward and secured his brace to make it 3–0.

Ramon’s Dagger (76′): Defender Jacobo Ramón capped off a brilliant team move by heading home from close range, pushing the scoreline to an astonishing 4–0.

Substitute Joshua Zirkzee managed to pull a consolation goal back for United in stoppage time (90+1′), expertly bringing down an aerial pass from Amad Diallo before firing past Butez, but it did little to mask an otherwise abysmal performance.
