Chelsea struggling to sell unwanted star as transfer deadline looms
Chelsea are eager to let go of some players currently at the club but just hours before the transfer deadline, the club is yet to get a greenlight from interested clubs.
The London club have invested heavily this summer bringing in new players to strengthen Enzo Maresca’s squad. However, some players are surplus to requirement and will be allowed to leave.
Now regarded as the bomb squad, Raheem Sterling tops the list of unwanted crop of players expected to make the move away from Stamford Bridge this summer.

According to journalist Matt Law, “nothing is progressing” over a deal to either sell or loan out Sterling, who could very well still be a Chelsea player once the Premier League window has closed for business.
The 30-year-old was thought to have caught the eye of Fulham in recent hours, but the Cottagers are instead set to sign his teammate and fellow attacker Tyrique George in a £22m deal.
Despite the latest setback, Chelsea might not have any reason to panic, the London club could still offload Sterling to a non-English club after Monday’s deadline passes, as the Turkish transfer window remains open until September 12.
Sterling – who is Chelsea’s highest earner on £325,000-a-week according to Capology – still has two years left to run on his contract with the Club World Cup winners.
