Chelsea opens summer exit door for top defender as Pochettino plans new era
As Chelsea continue to struggle on the pitch, the London club are set to lose one of the highly rated defender in the summer.
Chelsea are currently occupying 9th spot in the Premier League with their performance being criticised by former players and legends of the game.
Though Pochettino has insisted that the rebuilding process will take time, one player who will not be part of that process is 25-year-old Malang Sarr.
According to The Sun, Malang Sarr who last appeared for the Blues in May 2022, is getting closer than ever to leaving the team this summer.
Reports claim Sarr is one of the players who may be let go to aid Chelsea financially.
Though Chelsea will not be able to sell him on a high price with the Senegalese international not playing in almost two years, his versatility in playing as a left-back may fetch a respectable amount for the Blues.
Malang Sarr in all competitions, has only made 21 appearances for Chelsea. Despite not playing regularly, the young defender earn £100,000 a week.
Chelsea have been linked with new defenders and the departure of Sarr will open doors for new arrivals.
