Mikel Arteta agrees new long-term Arsenal deal
Mikel Arteta has signed a new three deal with Arsenal as the Spanish tactician continues his great job at the Emirates.
Arsenal have become a different team under Arteta. The former midfield player led the Gunners to within touching distance of the Premier League title in recent seasons.
Manchester City are wary of the threat possess by Arsenal and Arteta will receive all the accolades for how his team has played in the past few years.
Ahead of Arsenal’s match against Tottenham Hotspur, Arteta has committed his future to the North London side. The Spanish boss’ contract was set to expire at the end of the season.
The Gunners have now settled on his future, with Arteta agreeing to a new deal that will take him through to 2027, according to The Athletic.
Arteta replaced Unai Emery as head coach in 2019 and has been able to build a compact team. He won the 2020 FA Cup and took them back into the Champions League in 2023 after a seven-year absence, thanks to finishing second in the Premier League behind City.
The following season also saw Arsenal finish in second place. Arteta will now be looking at winning his first Premier League title with Arsenal this season.
