Mega Money: Mo Salah’s contract demands at Liverpool revealed

Published on

Mohamed Salah‘s current contract at Liverpool is set to expire at the end of the 2024/25 season and details of his new demands have been revealed.

Salah is just entering the final months of his time at the club and this has seen him linked with various clubs across the globe. The Egyptian forward has not rumors affect his performance for Liverpool, scoring seven goals and assisting six in his 11 appearances so far.

The Egyptian winger is an asset Liverpool are not willing to lose but the Reds will need to break the bank to keep hold of their start forward.

Surprisingly, some of the details of Salah’s contract demands have reportedly been revealed.

According to Football Insider, Salah is demanding a contract which will keep him with the Premier League side until the summer of 2027, when he will be 35 years old.

The news comes after reports from Gabriel Agbonlahor that Salah has already agreed terms with a club in the Saudi Pro League, who have offered him a record-breaking contract.

However, sources revealed that Liverpool are “not worried” about the news and believe that they remain in pole position to secure the signature of their star man.

The Reds still believe that it is Salah’s preference to stay with Liverpool, who he joined in the summer of 2017 from Serie A side Roma.

Liverpool rejected a £150million bid from Al Ittihad last summer and will have to offer more than a Saudi Arabia club to keep their Egyptian forward in the club.

The Merseyside club are also working on ensuring both Virgil Van Dijk, and Trent Alexander-Arnold also set to be out of contract in the summer, sign a new contract.

Meanwhile, Saudi Arabian officials wants Salah in Saudi Arabia as they hope to add him to the face of a league that includes players like Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema and Salah’s former teammate Sadio Mane.
