Manchester United summer signing Leny Yoro has returned to first-team training after spending the last three months on the sideline.

United beat off competition from the likes of Real Madrid and Liverpool to sign Yoro. The Red Devils splash £52m to acquire his service from Lille but things has not worked according to plan.

Yoro sustained a serious foot problem during United’s pre-season friendly against Arsenal on the club’s US tour. He underwent surgery to correct the issue which has delayed his anticipated competitive debut.

However, the France international gave fans something to cheer about last month by sharing a a positive update on social media last month.

The Frenchman has now been spotted in full training for the first time since the season’s start.

United’s official website confirmed that Yoro was in action with the rest of his teammates in an open session ahead of the club’s Europa League tie with PAOK on Thursday.

Yoro signed a five-year deal with Manchester United in July but never got the chance to appear in a competitive fixture for Erik ten Hag.

In a more positive news for Man United, Yoro was joined on the training pitch by Christian Eriksen.

The Danish midfielder was forced to sit out United’s last two fixtures against Leicester City and Chelsea. However, centre-back Harry Maguire remains injured and is joined in the treatment room by the team’s only two senior left-backs, Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia.
