‘Stressful situation’: Dani Olmo’s agent addresses registration issues, future

Barcelona are yet to register Dani Olmo for the remainder of the season and this has caught the attention of top clubs like Manchester United and Manchester City.

Despite arriving in the summer, Olmo might leave for free in January. His agent, Andy Bara has now clarified the situation.

According to his agent, his agent has made it clear that Olmo’s sole focus remains on playing for Barcelona, where he has always dreamed of playing.

In an interview with GiveMeSport, Bara provided further details about Olmo’s current situation. He acknowledged the stress the player is under due to the uncertainty but emphasised Olmo’s resilience and determination to stay calm.

“It’s a stressful situation for Dani as it would be for any other player. But he’s a great player and person, he’s trying to be calm.

“Of course, Dani is a winner and he loves to play the games, not to watch them,” he began saying.

He also made it clear that Olmo’s desire to play for Barcelona has not wavered, and no negotiations with other clubs are taking place.

“We are not negotiating with any club. Dani is a Barcelona player and he wants to be a Barcelona player. He has made a big effort in his life to be at Barcelona. It was his desire for a long time.

“Barcelona is the first and last option! Dani, his father, family, me, we’re not thinking about other options,” he noted.

Bara explained that despite the opportunity to become a free agent and potentially secure a lucrative move, Olmo’s love for the game and his dedication to Barcelona were stronger driving forces in his decision-making process.

“We have never made any career decision for money. Dani plays football as he loves the game, he made a massive effort to be at Barcelona.

“I’m also happy to have Dani at Barcelona, he’s one of the best players in the world at one of the biggest clubs in the world.”
