Bayern Munich willing to make shocking decision on Thomas Tuchel’s future

Bayern Munich has announced that Thomas Tuchel will be leaving the club at the end of the 2023/24 season.

Thomas Tuchel’s team experienced a mixed season as they failed to keep up the pace with Bayern Leverkusen in the Bundesliga race and were also knocked out by a lower side in the cup competition.

Despite Bayern Munich’s pedigree in world football, the German team are yet to secure a new manager for next season.

The Bavarian club started their search for a new coach after Max Eberl was appointed as director of sport with Xabi Alonso and Julian Nagelsmann turning down the club.

Xabi Alonso opted to stay at Bayern Leverkusen while Julian Nagelsmann who was sacked by Bayern Munich 12 months ago ended up signing a contract extension with the Germany National Team until 2026.

Bayern also worked on a deal to appoint Ralf Rangnick as their new head coach. However, the former Man United manager decided to stick with the Austrian National team.

Though Bayern Munich are still linked with other managers, reports from Sky Sports in Germany has revealed that Bayern are also considering sticking with Thomas Tuchel until the end of next season.

Eberl and Christoph Freund are open to working with Tuchel next season. Meanwhile, Tuchel didn’t rule out the possibility of staying in Munich while talking to the media on Friday.

Bayern Munich are hoping to finish the season on a high note by beating Real Madrid to reach the UEFA Champions League final where they’ll face either PSG or Borussia Dortmund.
