Jadon Sancho future clarified as Dortmund make final decision

Jadon Sancho is yet to find a new club after his contract at Manchester United expired this summer.

The England international spent last season on loan at Aston Villa but failed to secure a permanent deal. Despite being available on a free transfer and linked with different clubs, Sancho is yet to find a new team.

Sancho has been linked with a return to Borussia Dortmund, according to German publication Bild.

However, Dortmund manager Niko Kovac has shut down speculation linking the club with a move for former Chelsea winger.

Speaking ahead of Saturday’s 3-0 victory over SC Paderborn, he stated: “I think we had a really good transfer summer.

“We’re very well positioned. The squad is already very large. We have 26 outfield players, many of them young,” On the subject of potentially signing Sancho, he continued: “Therefore, we don’t need to concern ourselves with that.”

Dortmund were forced to act swiftly after new recruit Giannis Konstantelias sustained a cruciate ligament tear. This sparked speculation about Sancho making a comeback to the Signal Iduna Park.

However, the German Bundesliga outfit instead brought in English forward Ethan Nwaneri on loan from Arsenal on deadline day. This development means Sancho’s opportunities are now quickly diminishing.

Sancho will now have to decide where he’ll play football this season with some clubs in Turkey, the Saudi Pro League and the UAE reportedly considering signing him.

The Englishman has also received an offer to join Arabian Falcons, the Dubai-based team managed by former Liverpool midfielder Jonjo Shelvey, who has made a promising start to the new season.
