‘I have two UCLs, you have nothing’: Real Madrid star hits back at Atletico veteran

Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid played out a 1-1 draw at the Civitas Metropolitano in a match that saw intense moments from fans and players from both team.

The match was suspended for 15 minutes after Atletico Madrid fans threw objects at Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois.

Players also got at each other with Vinicius Jr. and Koke going hard at each other. The incident occurred after the Brazilian went to the ground under a challenge from an opponent, but the referee did not give a free kick.

Not pleased with this act, Koke appeared to taunt the Real Madrid forward, sparking a heated exchange between the two players.

Both faced each other and then the Real Madrid player said to the Atletico Madrid veteran (h/t Mundo Deportivo): “I have two Champions Leagues, you have nothing.”

As always, Vinicius Jr was the center of attraction as he was once again targeted by vile insults by sections of Atletico Madrid fans during the derby.

Despite representing Atletico Madrid earlier in his career, Courtois, too, was a target of abuse, with some fans chanting “D*e Courtois, d*e” during the course of the game.

It’s left to see the punishment that await Atletico Madrid for their fans behaviour during the match.
